Position Title: Vice President of New Business Development – PGA/Golf

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of New Business Development to strengthen our relationships within the golf sector and drive revenue growth.
Role Overview: As the Vice President of New Business Development – PGA/Golf, you will play a critical role in enhancing Sports Media’s partnerships with key golf organizations and venues. Reporting directly to the President, you will be responsible for maximizing revenue potential and achieving sales objectives while delivering exceptional customer service. This is a commission-based role with stock option incentives, offering the potential to earn a mid to high six-figure income while working remotely from your home office.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Utilize sports sponsorship knowledge to guide advertising strategies within the golf industry. Define the company’s approach and focus within the sports vertical.
- Opportunity Identification: Identify and prioritize business opportunities within the golf industry, continuously seeking new approaches to enhance advertising effectiveness.
- Client Interaction: Develop and implement best practices for client interaction, sales, and services, ensuring a deep understanding of working with sports venues.
- Sales Performance: Develop metrics to measure sales team growth and performance. Provide regular reports and insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Sales Presentations: Create persuasive sales presentations leveraging market trends, case studies, and campaign performance statistics. Recommend optimized media solutions to clients.
- Data Management: Manage and analyze sports consumption data to inform strategic decisions and drive revenue growth.
- Revenue Goals: Exceed sales, pricing, and yield goals for both personal performance and team success.
- Customer Service: Ensure clients receive the highest level of sales and operational customer service, fostering long-term partnerships.
Requirements:
- Sponsorship Sales Experience: Demonstrated experience in sports sponsorship sales is essential, particularly within the golf industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Complete understanding of advertising and facility operations within the golf sector.
- Marketing Expertise: Experience in telemarketing, social media, and data mining to drive advertising initiatives.
- Professional Attributes: Strong work ethic, entrepreneurial mindset, excellent communication, and organizational skills.
- Self-Motivation: Proven ability to work independently with a positive attitude and a desire to succeed.
Compensation and Benefits: This is a commission-based role with a performance-based salary, plus access to a 401K and medical savings plan.
