The objective of this program is to generate and manage publicity for Ride Fear Free. Students should have prior writing experience before considering this program. Assignments will include press releases, speeches, reports, and media pitches. This internship also encompasses research skill development, managing the publicity budget, unifying team members, and accurately assessing what will appeal to target audiences.

Responsibilities:

• Write proper emails, media pitches, memos, letters, reports, proposals, news releases, broadcasts, ad copy, material for the Internet, speeches, newsletters, brochures, magazines, and annual reports.
• Research media outlets.
• Create awareness on social media platforms such as Facebook, blogs, Twitter, and fanz.tv.
• Develop connections with consumers and maintain and build relationships.
• Maintain open channels of communication through formal and informal meetings.
• Demonstrate excellent human relations skills, written and verbal communication skills, and strong decision-making abilities.
• Meet deadlines consistently.

Requirements:

• Current undergraduate majoring in public relations, communications, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and coordinate effectively.
• Passion for the advertising services and hospitality industry.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Self-motivated and disciplined.
• Familiarity with Zoom for weekly calls.
