We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Government Contracting to lead our efforts in expanding our relationships and revenue within the state and federal government sectors.
Position Overview:
The Vice President of Government Contracting will be responsible for strengthening Sour Dog Media’s relationships with state and federal government entities. This role requires an individual with extensive experience in government contracting, a deep understanding of the government bid process, and a proven track record of achieving high sales performance. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and results-driven professional who excels in customer service and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strengthen and expand Sour Dog Media’s relationships with state and federal government agencies.
- Provide high-level customer service and satisfaction to government clients.
- Maximize total revenue potential and achieve all assigned sales objectives and goals.
- Utilize telemarketing, social media, and data mining techniques to identify and prioritize business opportunities.
- Develop and implement best practices for government interaction, sales, and services.
- Guide Sour Dog Media’s approach and focus in the government vertical.
- Recognize opportunities for new approaches to increase the effectiveness of government contracting.
- Create persuasive sales presentations using market trends and case studies.
- Analyze campaign performance statistics and recommend optimized media solutions.
- Manage data related to government consumption of Sour Dog Media’s products and services.
- Develop metrics to measure the growth and performance of the sales team and provide reports as needed.
- Exceed sales, pricing, and yield goals for yourself and your teams.
- Ensure clients receive the highest level of sales and operational customer service.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in government contracting and a thorough understanding of the government bid process and search software operations.
- Proven track record of high sales performance and achieving mid to high six-figure income.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently from a home office and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with telemarketing, social media, and data mining.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to create and deliver persuasive sales presentations.
- Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies and best practices.
- Experience in managing and mentoring sales teams.
