Position: Director of New Business Development – MLB

About Us: Sports Media is a leading company dedicated to the world of sports marketing and media. We are seeking a highly experienced Director of New Business Development to strengthen our relationships with Major League Baseball (MLB) teams and drive revenue growth.

Role Overview: The Director of New Business Development – MLB will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with MLB teams, providing exceptional customer service, and achieving sales objectives. This performance-based, commission-only position offers the potential to earn a mid to high six-figure income, along with a 401K and a medical savings plan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage sponsorship sales strategies to support sports venues.
• Define the company’s overall approach and focus within the sports vertical.
• Identify and prioritize new business opportunities.
• Enhance team effectiveness by recognizing and implementing innovative sales approaches.
• Establish best practices for client interactions, sales, and services.
• Create and deliver persuasive sales presentations using market trends and case studies.
• Analyze campaign performance and recommend optimized media solutions.
• Manage data on sports consumption and company products.
• Exceed sales, pricing, and yield goals individually and for the team.
• Ensure clients receive the highest level of sales and operational customer service.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in telemarketing, social media, and data mining.
• Extensive team/league sponsorship sales experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of team and facility operations.
• Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a strong desire to succeed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum [3] years of advertising and product sales experience.
• Minimum [3] years of sports marketing experience.
