Job Description: Join Fanz Entertainment in our Government Relations internship, where you will play a crucial role in evaluating, selecting, and coordinating federal, state, and local government lobbying efforts. This position involves developing and executing government relations strategies and policy agendas for our event centers. We seek candidates with a strong background in environmental policy, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a drive to succeed in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed analyses and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Support and promote our center’s government relations and advocacy initiatives across local, state, and federal levels.
- Formulate policy positions aligned with the center’s mission.
- Draft memos, regulations, legislation, and advocacy materials.
- Prepare follow-up materials for meetings and respond to data requests from governmental and legislative bodies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Current undergraduate majoring in Government Relations or a related field.
- Experience analyzing complex intergovernmental issues and providing recommendations.
- Strong critical thinking and strategic planning abilities.
- Ability to make informed decisions and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Adherence to policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in Google Docs (Word, Excel) and ability to learn Slack.
- Familiarity with Zoom for virtual meetings.
