Job Summary: As a Sales Representative for Golf Events, you will play a crucial role in maximizing tournament revenues by selling golf outings, tournament green fees, merchandise, and more. You will execute outbound sales calls, develop lead generation strategies, and manage event logistics to ensure customer satisfaction and revenue goals are met.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Generation: Execute outbound sales calls, follow-up phone calls, and networking events to drive awareness and increase group revenue. Identify and pursue target markets, build and maintain prospects, and maximize customer potential.
- Event Management: Develop and adhere to contracts/confirmation agreements, communicate requirements to appropriate departments or vendors, and ensure corporate standards of quality and service are met. Maintain relationships with event hosts to maximize satisfaction and referrals.
- Community Engagement: Promote club event bookings by attending member functions, Chamber of Commerce meetings, trade association meetings, and trade shows.
- Development Programs: Contribute to the development of golf memberships programs and kids camp programs, and execute them effectively.
- Customer Service: Respond to guest requests, answer golfer questions, schedule tee times, and maintain cleanliness of golf-related areas. Provide individual and group golf lessons in line with industry standards.
Minimum Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
- 2 years of related sales experience, preferably in the golf/hospitality/service industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong sales skills and knowledge of golf preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM software.
- Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work with little or no direct supervision.
- Exceptional customer service orientation and focus on customer satisfaction.
- Strong leadership and people skills, with the ability to foster a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license required.
