We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Chief Veterinarian Medical Officer to join our Zoo Media team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the health and medical care of animals in zoos and aquariums around the world. The role requires a strong background in veterinary medicine, as well as a passion for animal welfare and conservation. This is a remote position, and the candidate will work closely with the Zoo Media team to ensure the highest level of animal care.
Provide veterinary medical care and advice to zoos and aquariums worldwide.
Work with animal care teams to develop and implement preventive health care programs for animals.
Advise on animal husbandry practices and welfare issues.
Conduct research and analyze data to develop new strategies for animal health management.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on industry advancements and best practices.
Collaborate with the Zoo Media team to develop content on animal health and welfare for various media outlets.
Maintain accurate medical records for animals under care.
Work with veterinary technicians and assistants to ensure the proper care of animals.
Act as a liaison between zoos and aquariums, government agencies, and other organizations on issues related to animal health and welfare.
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
Current license to practice veterinary medicine.
Experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and remotely.
Knowledge of animal welfare regulations and standards.
Familiarity with medical record-keeping and data analysis.
Flexibility to travel as needed.

Pay: $85,611.00 – $251,395.00 per year
This is a performance-based Commission Only position, It comes with incentive stock options, 401(k), and health savings plan after 120 days.
