Job Description:
Dream Spas Travel Media is seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk. This position requires the successful candidate to strengthen Dream Spas Travel Media’s relationship with the Accounting department. Accounting Clerks are pivotal in supporting accountants with various financial tasks within the company.
Job Type: Commission Only
Compensation: This is a performance-based job (commission only) with overrides, 401K, bonuses, healthcare, and pensions. Pay: $18,500 to $64,000 per year
Responsibilities:
- Key data and prepare batches for processing, including sorting, alphabetizing, and verifying totals.
- Prepare and process purchasing, travel, personnel, and related documents.
- Reconcile expenditure reports to source documents; distribute and file financial documents and reports.
- Answer phones, open and log mail, greet visitors, and assist in clerical functions; may arrange travel and meetings.
- Sort documents, code, log, review for accuracy, match supporting invoices to procurement documents, and verify invoices for payment.
- Prepare routine entries and post financial transactions; reconcile entries and internal ledgers to financial reports.
- Research processing problems, contact departments and vendors to resolve issues, and respond to inquiries by phone or in writing.
- Handle cash transactions, issue receipts, record and reconcile cash funds, and prepare bank deposits.
- Assist in preparing financial statements such as billings, budgets, and cost reports.
- Assist in ordering, maintaining, and utilizing department equipment, supplies, and inventories.
- Distribute, review, calculate, and process payroll time sheets and employment documents; maintain payroll records.
- May lead, guide, and train staff or volunteers performing related work; participate in volunteer recruitment.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of experience in a clerical or administrative role, preferably in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in office software systems, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with Invoicing, Accounts Payable, Reconciling, Accounts Receivable, Vendor Management, and Data Entry.
- Ability to work independently and remotely from a home office.
- Potential to earn a mid to high 6-figure income based on performance.
- Opportunity available for sales associates with previous unemployment exceeding six (6) months seeking remote work.
