Responsibilities:

• Proofread and edit articles meticulously, ensuring accuracy in spelling, punctuation, grammar, and syntax.
• Ensure articles are well-written, logically structured, and maintain clarity, accuracy, and flow.
• Maintain consistency with “house style” guidelines and uphold a professional tone.
• Perform other tasks as delegated by managers or supervisors.

Requirements:

• Current undergraduate majoring in Journalism, Communication, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word (or Google Docs), Excel, Publisher, and Slack (training available).
• Strong editing, writing, grammar, and proofreading skills (expanded vocabulary is advantageous).
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on effective writer-editor collaboration.
• Ability to preserve the writer’s voice while enhancing clarity and coherence.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision; self-motivated and disciplined.
• Team-oriented mindset and adept at collaborative work.
• Competence in computer skills and data entry.
