Position Overview:
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Sour Dog Media’s technology infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with our business goals and objectives. This executive role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of media technologies, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive innovation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that supports Sour Dog Media’s business objectives and growth plans.
- Oversee the management and security of the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and software applications.
- Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure the efficient operation of IT services and systems, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and provide solutions that enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
- Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and adherence to financial plans.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the media industry, evaluating their potential impact on the company’s operations and competitiveness.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives, including the adoption of cloud services, data analytics, and AI-driven solutions.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Act as a key advisor to the executive team on technology-related matters, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful IT strategies in a media or entertainment company.
- Strong knowledge of media technologies, including content management systems, digital asset management, and broadcast systems.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on strategic thinking and innovation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Experience with cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data analytics is highly desirable.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and manage multiple priorities.
