As we continue to grow, we are seeking an exceptional Chief Brand Officer (CBO) to lead our branding efforts and ensure our brand remains strong, consistent, and impactful.
Position Overview:
The Chief Brand Officer (CBO) will be responsible for developing and executing Sour Dog Media’s brand strategy, ensuring it aligns with our business goals and resonates with our target audience. This executive role requires a creative thinker with extensive experience in brand management, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the media industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive brand strategy that supports Sour Dog Media’s mission, vision, and business objectives.
- Oversee the creation and execution of branding initiatives, including brand messaging, visual identity, and marketing campaigns.
- Ensure brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints, both internally and externally.
- Lead the brand development process, including market research, audience segmentation, and competitive analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate brand strategy into all aspects of the business, including content creation, marketing, and product development.
- Monitor brand performance and use insights to refine strategies and improve brand equity.
- Manage and mentor the branding team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, ensuring Sour Dog Media remains at the forefront of brand innovation.
- Act as a brand ambassador, representing Sour Dog Media at industry events and in public forums.
- Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on brand-related matters, including positioning, reputation management, and market differentiation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in brand management or marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the media industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful brand strategies that drive growth and engagement.
- Strong knowledge of brand development, marketing principles, and consumer behavior.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Creative thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with digital marketing, social media, and content strategy is highly desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
